Demon Lover

There is a devil-

Woman in my life, oh she

Looks so sweet, demure,

Soul-full eyes, hidden

Smirk on her lips, as if she

Knows a secret but

She’ll never tell me.

Our second night, sighed “Mr.

Darcy,” in my ear

As if she was coy

Miss Bennet at Pemberley

In the grand ballroom

Little did I know

We were not dancing steps from

“Pride and Prejudice,”

But from “Eyes Wide Shut.”

A demon lover lusting,

Corrupting me and

Taking me to depths

And celestial heights I have

Never known before
